Offit Kurman Promotes Three Attorneys to Principal

Maple Lawn, MD April 15, 2009—Offit Kurman, Attorneys at Law announced that it has promoted Alex M. Allman, Brian C. Rosenberg, and Laura L. Rubenstein to Principal, effective January 1, 2009.

Alex M. Allman: Mr. Allman focuses his practice in the areas of civil, criminal and domestic litigation and has been involved in broad range of cases, including complex commercial litigation, criminal defense, white-collar crime, and family law. He has successfully tried multi-million dollar commercial litigation disputes through to successful completion. Mr. Allman serves as an Adjunct Law Professor at University of Baltimore School of Law.

Brian C. Rosenberg: Mr. Rosenberg primarily counsels clients on real estate matters, including acquisitions, finance, and development. Additionally, he assists financial institutions in connection with all aspects of commercial lending, has extensive experience in preparing and negotiating attorney opinion letters in loan transactions, and serves as local Maryland counsel to lenders and real estate owners in multi-state transactions. Mr. Rosenberg has lectured and prepared materials on topics related to commercial finance, including the documentation of loans, title insurance, perfection of liens and security interests under the Uniform Commercial Code, environmental liability, and standby letters of credit.

Laura L. Rubenstein: Mrs. Rubenstein’s practice concentrates in employment and general civil litigation. She represents corporate clients and non-profit agencies in a wide range of matters, including the defense of state and federal discrimination, sexual harassment, ADA and ADEA claims, wage and hour issues, and FMLA disputes. Mrs. Rubenstein provides ongoing business advice and training seminars to clients implementing and developing effective employment policies and procedures. She has authored several articles on labor and employment matters and has lectured on a number of topics relating to her practice areas.
